Tapestries from Cathédrale St-Trophime in Arles, France

  1. Love the faded pastel tones and fine fine work. Are they faded? Or were they originally in these tones?

  2. They were a bit faded, but I would say that they were still very close to their original tones. They were huge pieces - I think there must have been around 10 altogether - and they all had the same colour pallet. Parts of them looked sewn together, as if they had been ripped apart and stitched back together. Very nice - loved them.

  3. Have you ever torn your pictures and stitched them back together? Or torn them apart and stitched them to different pictures to make hybrid images?
