I'm afraid it isn't available to buy yet. This is part of my final degree show which takes place in June. After June, it will be for sale. Thanks for your interest.
"How large is it?" Its the same size as a Vogue magazine, maybe a bit smaller - so a little bigger than A4. "How long do they take?" If I spend 2-3 hours doing it everyday they take about two weeks, otherwise it can take a month. "Did You "overstiched" the real cover?" Yep, sure did :)
Nice work! I had a painter friend who would paint altered Life magazine covers that were twelve feet tall. If you wanted to spend your life doing this...
I am interested in purchasing these when they are available. Can you please email me when that happens? I would be willing to commission a set of them if possible. Thank you. Sonia sonia.lanlgotz@gmail.com
I love this and have many questions! First, did you stitch on the shiny Vogue paper or transfer it somewhere else? And, if you did stitch on the Vogue, what kind of needle did you use? Did you pre-poke holes? I'd really like to do a super-amateur version of this... Though I've done some stitching projects before, I'm sure it will take me longer than a month! Thanks for your help and your very cool piece.
I love cross-stitch! I love magazines! This is the perfect marriage!! Did you make the pattern yourself or did you have it done? I'm just interested in getting my hands on a pattern like this [or learning where I can get patterns made]. Thank you!
Dear Inge, Arrived to your absolutely stunning artwork through http://next.liberation.fr/arts/01012332009-mais-que-font-les-filles-dans-leur-chambre (Libération). There is one error though in the article: Libé says your pieces are crocheted, not cross-stitched - thought perhaps it would be useful for you to know :)
Dear Inge, this is just amazing! I love the contemporary feel of it so I've put it on my blog, that I'm slowly creating. (http://www.causehumbug.com/2011/stitched-vogue-cover/) I found the article on the Croatian website (http://neon.com.hr/dizajn-i-dom/vogue-dobio-svoju-heklanu-naslovnicu) so just for you to have the info. Looking forward to your future projects, Francesca
